The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike Hotel Kyoto
Custom bamboo partition installed in the café space of The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike Hotel in Kyoto. The weaving pattern and density of the bamboo were carefully adjusted to create a design inspired by the ridgelines of Kyoto’s five mountains (Gozan). The interplay of light and the bamboo weave produces a space that combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary beauty. This design balances calmness and elegance, making it ideal for gathering spaces such as hotel lobbies and cafés. The bamboo partition separates areas without creating a sense of confinement, while conveying the warmth unique to natural materials. As a custom-made piece, the partition allows flexible expression tailored to specific design and functional requirements.
