A custom black-finished Inuyarai-fence was installed on the exterior of a shop in central Kyoto. To match the building’s calm, understated tone, the flat-split bamboo was finished in black, giving the façade a refined and harmonious presence. Because the installation site had a sloped surface, each segment was crafted with individually adjusted angles to follow the on-site gradient, resulting in a clean, distortion-free line.

The Inuyarai is built in a three-part structure, with internal space designed to house equipment such as linen collection boxes. This allows the exterior to maintain its aesthetic appearance while combining practicality and design in a single bamboo exterior element.
