Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower Ciel Azure

For this project in a hotel, hirawari bamboo was used to create a simple yet impressive artwork. Hirawari is a technique where round bamboo is split and refined to a uniform width, allowing versatile applications. Using 100 pieces of 5 mm–wide, 8 m–long strips, we formed a large semicircle. With the addition of mirrors, the work gives the impression of a circle continuing without end.

Location: Ōita City
